Privacy Policy

TimeyWimey is a timezone and world clock tool. We built it to be useful without surveillance. This page explains what we collect and what we don't.

What we don't collect

We don't require an account.
We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
We don't access your contacts, calendar, photos, or location history.
We don't record your voice. Speech recognition runs on-device on iOS where possible, and voice transcripts are discarded after the command is processed.

Your selected cities, home city, and clock preferences are stored locally.
On the web, configurations are saved to your browser's local storage and encoded in the URL so you can share or bookmark a layout.
On iOS, configurations are stored in an App Group container shared with your widgets.

Google Places / Maps. When you search for a city, we send your search query to Google Places to return matching locations, and selected places may be resolved with location and timezone data. Google's SDK may process location, search, device, usage, diagnostic, and related app data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Location. If you grant permission, we use location data to pick sensible defaults and resolve places for the world clock. We do not track your movements.
Voice commands (iOS). Optional. When you use voice, Apple's Speech Recognition transcribes audio and we send only the resulting text to our server to turn it into city actions. Audio is not stored, and transcripts are used only to service the command.
Analytics. We use analytics on the web and Firebase Analytics on iOS to understand which features are used, diagnose reliability, and improve the product. iOS analytics events are limited to app and feature interactions, counts, command-type summaries, provider names, and coarse failure reasons. We do not log voice transcripts, search queries, city names, or location keys in our own analytics events, and we do not use analytics for advertising tracking.

TimeyWimey is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
